Dan + Tina are both a ray of sunshine. These two had a smile on their face or were bursting out in laughter throughout their entire session. Their joy is infectious, and I absolutely loved getting to know them in the short amount of time we spent together. Dan + Tina drove all the way to Metea Park for their engagement session– they drove all the way from… Pennsylvania! They currently reside in Pennsylvania, but they originally met in Michigan– where they plan to be married next year.
They first met in school as Master’s students at Western Michigan University. The first semester they didn’t talk much, but they began to spend more time together when Dan started to bake things (which was way outside of his character), so he would have an excuse to come over and spend time with Tina. They both started teaching that next semester where they shared an office together.
After working alongside each other, Dan made the first move by asking her out on a date. During that time, Tina had just moved to the United States from the Philippines and she only knew the American culture based on what she would see in movies and TV shows. So, when Dan held her hand while watching a horror movie with friends, she had to google afterward what it meant in the American culture. They were together for exactly 39 months when Dan proposed to his best friend. The rest is history!
They will be getting married twice next year! Once in January in the Philippines, and the second time in Michigan this coming May. I’m so excited to celebrate with them at Gable Hill Barn in May!!
